Our History
THE WHOLE OF LIFE IS MINISTRY
This Pentecostal church has existed in Spennymoor for many years under various spirit-led leaders of whom we are forever grateful as we continue to draw on the spiritual wells that were dug by previous generations. We truly believe we are standing on the shoulders of spiritual giants who are cheering us on in the things of God for this generation.
We are a church that focusses on the concept of the ‘whole of life is ministry’. We fully support and seek to empower people to be bringers of the Kingdom of God in whatever season and sphere of life we find ourselves in.
We are here to transform, revive and heal anything and everything we touch by the power of the Holy Spirit. Representing the life-giving ministry of Jesus Christ in our families, workplace, homes, colleges, schools and neighbourhood not just on a Sunday or within the walls of church. We believe ‘ministry’ takes place not only in church but outside, within our local area, the places we live and internationally with several missional connections flowing out from Kingdom Culture Church.
Glyn & Jean Carter
The church is currently led by Glyn & Jean Carter and a wonderful team of volunteers. Glyn & Jean are bi-vocational pastors. Glyn has a well-established property and building company with over 20 years’ experience in business. He is frequently invited to speak at business conferences and is known for his Kingdom inspired entrepreneurial gifting.

Jean is a registered nurse having previously held very senior roles in the NHS and social care, having worked in the North-East of England and nationally. She is also an academic, currently undertaking post-graduate doctoral research in Practical Theology with York St. John University. Her doctoral research study has involved many members of the congregation as together they explore faith and work in an independent Pentecostal church setting.

Together Glyn and Jean have over 35 years experience in bi-vocational church leadership roles. They have been married since 1989 and have two sons Dan & Sam. As a family they love to spend time in Northumberland with their two dogs when they can.
